Select Aquarium Breeds, LLC does not accept returns or give refunds. Assuming the fish is alive, to ship the fish back would be very stressful for the fish, not to mention costly. Select Aquarium Breeds posts pictures of the pet(s) you are purchasing so you know what your new water pet looks like prior to making the purchase. Once purchased, all sales are final, no exceptions.
Shipments take place one day per week and are performed by two knowledgeable people. One person bags the fish and prepares the shipping container and a second person does a final quality inspection and seals the fish snug in a secured container. We use breather bags which allows Co2 to exit the bag and fresh air to be plentiful for the shipping process. The bag also provides a much safer experience for the fish since the fish will always remain in water and not tossed around in air pockets.
If your fish is DOA due to an unlikely event caused by our staff, you are to take pictures of the box the way it arrived, a picture of the DOA prior to opening the bag, a picture of the fish on a white background such as a paper-towel and a final picture of the fish with the tail cut off. We absolutely hate to ask for the final picture of the fish and a severed tail, however, it is very unfortunate how many scams take place in the industry just to obtain a free fish.
Once you send the pictures and order information, you will be contacted for a scheduled replacement or credit for a future purchase. Select Aquarium Breeds, LLC cannot guarantee that we will be able to immediately send you the same type of fish due to our limited stock of the fish selected in your original order. If you are set on receiving the same type of fish, we will source, grow out and quarantine your replacement and will keep you updated on the progress of your fish up until an agreed upon date for shipment.
If the carrier is at fault of a DOA, please contact us and immediately send proof and pictures with bullet explanations of what the issue(s) was.
ALL CLAIMS MUST BE RECEIVED WITHIN 1 HOUR OF DELIVERY. Late claims will not be reviewed.
